Faroe Maritime Services provides professional assistance to maritime staff that have been made redundant by providing six or twelve discussions to help ensure progress are made with regard to job seeking. These processes are adapted to suit each individual on the basis of the situations and experience of each person, and help to streamline, focus and target their job seeking efforts.

6 sessions – including the following elements:

  • Acting as a sounding board for CVs, invited and speculative applications, use of networks, contact techniques, job seeking strategy and advice on current matters within 24 hours.

12 sessions – including the following elements:

  • Acting as a sounding board for CVs, invited and speculative applications, use of networks, job seeking strategy, potential job seeking opportunities, advice on current matters within 24 hours, interview training with an in-house consultant and personality testing which can be used to clarify strong sides and opportunities for development.

All processes are based on one-on-one discussions with an experienced consultant who acts as a professional sparring partner for the job seeking process. The job seeking process is based on a personal action plan which is evaluated and adjusted regularly.
