The port of Runavik is the biggest and most developed port in Skálafjørõur. The port is capable of providing services for all types of vessels and is prepared to solve all problems within shipping.
It has become a new destination for cruise liners and is capable of receiving large vessels. The Municipality of Runavik has recently invested substantially in the infrastructure including new quayside and cargo areas.

The lake Toftavatn
Hiking around the beautiful lake Toftavatn takes about two hours. The lake is surrounded by a unique heather area. It takes only 5 min to drive from the port with the shuttle bus.
The international football stadium
A walk up the hills to Faroe Island’s first international football stadium is worth a visit. From the port it takes approx. 40 min. to walk to the stadium.
Visit a wonderful old Faroese home and garden
Visit a Faroese home and garden “Uppi á Gørðum” in the village Søldarfjørður only 10 min drive from the port. It iis a true experience.
Hiking tour from Lamba to Rituvík
A nice and easy hiking tour in the mountain – just above Runavík – from one small village to another. Follow the cairns like in the old days. Around 2 hours and the length is approx. 5.3
The local museum Forni
Visit the museum Forni in Glyvrar. Jump on the shuttle bus or walk along the main road.
NAVIA
A visit to the manufacturer NAVIA in the neighbour village Toftir is a good choice if you are interested in modern Faroese woolwear design.
